Summit Camp

We think every kid deserves a dark sky.

How a borrowed telescope in a dark field became an accredited summer camp.

Summit Camp started in 2014 with one borrowed telescope and a field full of curious kids. Today we run accredited two-week sessions led by working astronomers, educators, and a 1:6 counselor-to-camper ratio — but the mission hasn't changed: give young people a real, hands-on relationship with the universe over their heads.

Led by people who do this for real.

Dr. Lena Park

Camp Director & Astronomer

A former observatory educator who has logged more than 2,000 nights under the stars. She founded Summit Camp in 2014.

Marcus Webb

Head of Rocketry

An aerospace engineer turned teacher. He's launched everything from sugar motors to high-power L-class rockets.

Aisha Rahman

Lead Counselor & Astrobiologist

A PhD candidate studying extremophiles, and the person most likely to be up at 3 AM showing campers a meteor shower.

Two weeks. One unforgettable sky.
